December to Remember: Red or Green!

Well, it's a fresh day and that means it's time to post another picture alongside our friends The Disney Sisters in their "December to Remember" photo campaign.

You may recall (if your short-term memory isn't too faulty) that yesterday's picture theme was "Tree". Well, they've come up with another fantastic one today that's just as Christmas-y; "Red or Green". Me being the obstinate fool that I am, have decided to go with both Red and Green!

One of our favorite attractions at Disneyland Park during The Holidays is the "it's a small world" Holiday attraction. I love it, my wife loves it, our boys love, and it's just an amazing switchover from the usual attraction that runs throughout the rest of the year. One of my favorite rooms in the entire attraction is the final room, and this picture I snagged a couple of years ago fit the bill for today's theme in a lot of ways. It has red, it has green, and it has an amazing message that we should all want to get behind in the world that we live in. Each and every year it's a sober reminder of just how far we've come, and how me farther we still have to go.

Well, that's today's! Hope that you liked it! Be sure and check back in tomorrow and we'll do our best to find something else just as good for everyone. Until next time!

December to Remember: Tree!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Or so we've been told... and really, what reason would they have to lie to us?

We've been pretty picture heavy on the blog as of late, so when we saw this from one of our "family" blogs, The Disney Sisters, we just knew we had to participate! Here's the gist:

"We're so glad that you've decided to join us on our magical photographic journey
Disney Sisters: December to Remember

For the entire month of December we are sharing photos of Disney Holiday Magic. Disney Sisters welcome you to celebrate the season with us!
All you need to do is post your photo at your creative outlet of choice (your Blog, Flickr, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr) and add your URL to the linky below. Grab our button and please use the hashtag #DisneySisters; help spread the holiday cheer.
*We encourage Disney themed shots but welcome all images that express holiday magic and what it means to you"

We love the holidays at Disneyland, we love taking pictures of the holidays at Disneyland... blend the two and we are all over it! Each day will carry a different theme, so expect us to participate as much as we can over the coming weeks. Today's theme was TREE! What better picture to use than one of the greatest Holiday Trees on the planet, the Disneyland Christmas Tree?!

I took this one recently around 1am on a Monday morning when almost the entire Park had cleared out, and something about getting low and looking up just made for an awesome shot! Not your typical view, but then again, we love the non-typical!

So there you have it, our first "December to Remember" picture alongside our friends at DisneySisters.com. If you'd like to participate yourself, the more the merrier! Just head on over and link yourself up! But if not, make sure to check back each and every day, because you (and we!) never know what you're gonna get.

Disneyland Mark Twain Riverboat: Almost Wordless Wednesday

Focused on the Magic
We suppose the title for today's post is a bit of a misnomer, since the pictures we've chosen to exhibit aren't actually of the Mark Twain Riverboat at Disneyland, but rather pictures we took from the Riverboat.  We've been riding the boat a lot more frequently on recent trips out, and there's tons of great photos to be had all over the Rivers of America.  These are some of our favorites from this past weekend.  Enjoy!

Look! It's a great big ole piece of petrified wood!

He IS the King of the River...

No idea who these dudes were looking for, but Mark hid upstairs as we went by

Gone fishin'...

Dam it! *drum roll*

We sincerely hope these guys can't jump 20 feet like their Bengal cousins

How many attractions can we get in one picture?!

Almost Wordless Wednesday: Friday Nights In The Park

Focused on the Magic

One of our favorite times to hang out at the Disneyland Resort is on Friday nights. We don't get to do it nearly as often as we'd like to; normally Sunday is our day out.  But just like in High School when the mall was the place to be and hang out, on Friday nights we think that The Park is where all the cool cats should get together and hang out.  And that's just what we did a couple of weeks ago.  We spent the entire evening in Disney California Adventure Park, snapping off random photos of everything we did, and these are some of the ones we liked the most.  Hope you enjoy!

"Almost" Wordless Wednesday: Naps In Space!

Focused on the Magic

As we do on a regular basis on Wednesday, we're blog hopping with Focused on the Magic and The InfoMouse today.  Be sure and check it out for even more great Disney blogs and pictures!

Our "napping" themes over the past couple of weeks have proven to be some of the most popular pieces we've ever written.  We've enjoyed doing them, and obviously people have enjoyed reading them, so we're going to keep it going.  Looking back now, we've taken a lot of napping photos, so there's lot to draw from, but what's more popular than a good ride photo?  And this could well be the one that started it all!

We took this one a few years ago when we were on a trip with our church's youth group on Space Mountain in Tomorrowland.  Chad is the second row and Mark in the back.  It was our last ride after a very long day, so I guess we figured it was as good a place as any to doze off.

Enjoy!

"Almost" Wordless Wednesday: A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That

Even the waiting rooms in Star Tours are pretty darn cool

The Mon Cal are charged with making sure everything runs smoothly in the Star Tours terminal

The coolest luggage inspector in the galaxy

This one kind of looks like a game show host to us

We managed to catch the bobsled as it flew through a hole in the bottom of the mountain. Sweet!

Wouldn't mind staying at the Disneyland Hotel just to go on the water slide
