Halloween Hodgepodge - September 14, 2014

One of your very first sights as you leave the Mickey & Friends parking structure on your way (via tram) to the Disneyland Resort!

Halloween Time is here!!!

City Hall is all decked out for the holidays, and there's no better place to go for your information and celebratory buttons!

Jack Skellington has been up to something inside The Haunted Mansion, and you're invited!

Even Mickey's Toontown is getting into the act!

If you put your ear up to the hole, you'll hear this jack crooning an old western tune, kind of like the ear to the seashell bit. Just kidding. Don't do it. They'll get mad at you, you'll blame us, and nobody wants that.

Big Thunder Ranch is BY FAR one of the absolute best areas inside Disneyland Park to celebrate Halloween Time, and with the all new Halloween Carnival in full-swing this year, there's never been a better time to check it out and see if I ain't right!

This year the pumpkin carving has moved into the Festival arena and has its very own spot! Be sure and stop by the Halloween Carnival and see these fantastic artist's incredible creations - in pumpkin form!

Quite possibly our favorite part of Halloween Time at The Park. Space Mountain? Check! Haunted by a ghost? Check! Brang it!!

"Almost" Wordless Wednesday: Naptime! 2.0

Last week's picture of Mark napping on Amy's spot outside of Off the Page in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot proved pretty popular (we got several comments on it), so we decided to bring it back for another round!  It got us to wondering if we had any other pictures in our files of Days In The Park napping around The Resort, and what do you know, we did!  Enjoy!

Mark's back for another week of napping on Dumbo...

...but there's nothing like the original. Look at Amy go!

It's no Dumbo, but Minnie's bed has a subtle uncomfortableness perfect for Chad

And nothing beats a nap after a long, hard day in The Park when you're a Days In The Park kid

Focused on the Magic

We're blog hopping along with "Focused On The Magic" and "The InfoMouse Blog" today and their Wordless Wednesday Blog Hops.  Come on by, link up, follow lots of other blogs and be followed back.  It's all great fun, with loads of great pictures.  Check it out and let them know we sent you!

Magical Mystery Mondays! - Where Are We?

We're back again!  Our "Where Are We?" posts are still proving very popular (we have lots of guesses coming in every week) so we're just going to keep pumping them out.  Maybe people like seeing their name in lights, who knows?  We love doing it, though, so here we go!

Last week's proved pretty rough on people, and although we had lots of guesses, we had our fewest number of correct guesses yet.  So, in light of that and the fact that we had a few people ask us for a slightly easier picture to guess about, this is what we came up with (and a Hidden Mickey to boot!).  Shouldn't be too difficult at all, we don't think; hope we picked a good one for you!

If you think you know where it is, let us know! Send us a comment here (probably the best way to do it) or send us a DM on our Twitter account @DaysInThePark; that way more people get a chance to guess! We'll keep tabs on who made correct guesses and come back tomorrow morning and post all of the people who got it right along with the correct answer.

Have fun!

We're back!  Okay, first things first and the reason you're most likely here; to find out the correction location of our spot and to find out who our correct guessers this week were.

Our spot this week is located in Mickey's Toontown, and is in fact in the queue for the attraction Gadget's Go Coaster.  The entire wall looks just like this, in point of fact, and there are multiple Hidden Mickeys on it.

We didn't have as many guesses yesterday as we normally do, but we did have some correct ones.  In order of correct guessers they were:
  1. Amy Anderson
  2. Linds
  3. Robin Poppins
  4. Albert Woo
A lot of people guessed Toontown, but very few were able to peg its exact location, so congratulations to everyone who did.

Now to where you guys can help!  What do you think of our segments?  We like to keep them somewhere in the middle in terms of not challenging; not too hard, not too easy but just right.  What do you guys think of our spots so far?  Do we need to make them easier?  Amp up the difficulty?  Let us know what you think; we are listening!

We'll be back next week with another spot for you guys to take a crack at.  We can't wait!

"Almost" Wordless Wednesday: Mickey's Toontown

Fun times on a recent excursion into Mickey's Toontown. Just goes to show you smiles are aplenty anywhere you go in The Park.

Amy gets to play "Peek A Boo"
Could it be any clearer?
A man and his mouse
Minnie's place
Every so often you time one perfectly
And I thought cheap motel beds were uncomfortable
Oddly intrigued by the scarecrow...
First roller coaster ride with dad.  Could there be anything better?
He was chomping at the bit to sit in Mickey's car!
You can't see it, but this kid has the BIGGEST smile on his face right now
Yeah, sharks like the taste of underwear
