Odds and Ends: Weekly Cap-Off (10/4 - 10/10)

Visits to The Park this week:  3

In fact, we're there yet again even as this publishes.

We continue to move onward and upward, picking up new followers here and on Twitter as we go.  If you're new to Days In The Park, welcome aboard!  We're glad to have ya!

This last week on Days In The Park:
On Monday, we picked up, packed and left our blogspot domain and took up residence in a new permanent home:  www.daysinthepark.com

Tuesday, we gave you an insiders view into our attempt to conquer the Evil Emperor Zurg and save the universe

A little wooden puppet stalked one of our kids on Wednesday

Jack Skellington invited you to take a ride Thursday on his Haunted Mansion Holiday

And Friday, Mark learned what was truly important in life in a cup of pineapple juice and soft-serve

At The Resort:
The biggest news/event taking place at Disneyland Resort this past week would have to ElecTRONica.  From all reports it was a HUGE event with a great turnout.  Highlights included a stage event and live music, Laserman, a special 3D sneak-peek of TRON:Legacy (exclusive to California Adventure), a huge dance party complete with beverages and food in the Backlot, and Flynn's Arcade (your chance to play some of those old 80s cabinet arcade games you're always telling your kids about).  We can't wait to get out there and see it for ourselves!
And in other assorted news, work continues on the demolition of California Adventure.

Nothing new really coming this week.  Mickey's Halloween Party continues every Tuesday and Friday night during the HalloweenTime season at Disneyland Park, and ElecTRONica will continue on weekends over at Disney's California Adventure.  You can find out more information on both by hopping over to Disneyland.com.

Here at Days In The Park:
We continue to work on new ideas for posts and we're working hard at editing pictures from our visits this week so we can share them with you guys.
Ideas we're currently working on include:
  • More HalloweenTime posts and pictures; we finally made it into Big Thunder Ranch!  What an awesome joint!
  • This week is our turn at the Happiest Haunts Tour.  Can't wait to take our first Disneyland Tour!  We'll let you know how it goes!
  • We began our Vinylmation Adventure this week.  Can't wait to show you how it's going.
  • Disney fanatics that we are, there are still things at The Park we have not done.  This week, we'll let you in on a whopper!
  • And we're inching closer and closer to our first giveaway.  What's it gonna be?!  Keep checking in to find out!
  • And hopefully, maybe, a few surprises.
See ya on the flipside.

I totally think you should do a post on pins, like once a month or so. I have a good one for your first post if you choose to do it, The Florida Orange Bird!

Erin,

I think that's a great idea and certainly something we can start mulling over; maybe kick a few ideas around.

We've kind of gotten away from pin-collecting a bit recently, but I see no reason we can't implement it in some fashion.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Oh, and I love the Florida Orange Bird. :)
