The Scary and the Tasty - Almost Wordless Wednesday

We've spent the last couple of weekends roaming Disneyland Park enjoying all of the new sights and sounds that go along with the Halloween Time season at The Resort.  With our trusty pocket cameras in tow (also known as cell phones) we've been snapping off random shots of just about everything that struck our fancy; so, of course, they're now making their way here!

You'll find some pictures here from the newly installed, "one of our favorites" Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, and we spent some time this past weekend hanging out in the Village Haus restaurant and you'll find some of that here as well.

One of the things we most enjoy doing on other blogs is simply taking in all of the pictures and random shots people nab from all over the Disney Parks, and that's exactly what we try to recreate here: the random wonder of a day in The Park.  We hope we're successful and that you enjoy!

The Village Haus Restaurant - That's Where We Were!

Each and every Monday we challenge our readers to guess "Where Are We?" based on a random picture taken somewhere at the Disneyland Resort.  We thrive on challenging, so the pictures can be anywhere at The Resort: Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, or Downtown Disney and the hotels.

We think that this week's proved to be a tad tricky as we didn't get nearly as many guesses as we usually do.  Still, we did have some participation and some incorrect and correct guesses, and as always we're appreciative of everyone who stuck their toes in the water and gave it a go!  Most of the incorrect guesses were either for Miss Chris' Cabin (the log cabin) in Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland, or for Pinocchio's Daring Journey in Fantasyland. 

A guess for Pinocchio's Daring Journey was really quite close to the actual spot of this week's photo which came to us courtesy of the Village Haus restaurant inside Fantasyland in Disneyland Park:

As you're entering the Village Haus you'll notice that the room is separated into two large dining rooms on the right and the left.  This particular spot is in the right-side dining room (facing the registers and where you pick up your food), on one of the shelves near the ceiling close to the back of the room.  A few of our guessers were able to use our hint (the title of the book, "A Tale of the Whale") for an assist in guessing the correct answer.  Well done, all!

Where at the Disneyland Resort Are We? - Magical Mystery Mondays

Monday has long been one of our favorite days of the week because we get to to do something easy but fun; challenge with you a picture.  And guess what today is!  We really hope you just said "Monday"...

Each and every week we come across loads of spots we think would make great picture opportunities, and each and every week we challenge you, our readers, to attempt to guess where we were at the Disneyland Resort when we took our pictures.  Some are easy, some are hard, but we think it's a great way for us to get you involved and commenting on our blog, and people seem to enjoy doing it.

We were roaming around last night when Amy spotted this little, well, spot, and thought it would make a great addition to our challenges, so we're using it the very next day.  How's that for a quick turnaround?  From Disneyland to your computer screen in less than 12 hours.  Simply amazing!  We think it's probably somewhere a little bit higher than the middle on the difficulty scale, but you guys have surprised (and impressed!) us before and we can't wait to see what guesses you come up with this week!
