December to Remember: Naughty or Nice!

We know that we've missed a few days (doggone you life for your interference!) but we're finally back on the wagon and trundling along with our "December to Remember" posts hosted by The Disney Sisters!

When we saw today's theme, it was definitely something we could get behind. Naughty or Nice? How about both?!

If you haven't yet had a chance to see either of the 'Prep & Landing's, they're really amazing little short films! Produced by Disney, they tell the stories of two of Santa's Elves (Wayne and Lanny) and the different adventures they have when Lanny comes on board as Santa's newest elf. And what better way to introduce these two to the masses than at The Park in the Muppet*Vision 3D theater in a 4D format?! We haven't had the chance to see it yet ourselves (it seems to break down every time we try) but you can bet before the holiday season is over, we will!

Random Ramblings with Days in the Park - "Almost" Wordless Wednesday

Yes, there is definitely something to be said about taking the standard pictures from the special spots around Disneyland (the ones with the nice Kodak logos on them), but we've really been enjoying just running around and snapping off shots of whatever tickles our fancy at the time and sharing them here, so we're continuing with that "theme" this week with another batch of photos that we took this past weekend while spending time in The Park.  We've been getting a lot of great comments (and nice ones!) from people who seem to enjoy just seeing random pictures from around The Park, so that's what we're going to continue doing with our Wednesday posts.  Hopefully we'll continue to give people new and interesting things to look at while they're spending time at Disneyland themselves.  That's the goal, anyways!

"Almost" Wordless Wednesday: One Last Holiday Evening

We've said it before, but it bears saying again, that one of our favorite pastimes is the simple act of just strolling around The Parks of the Disneyland Resort and just taking random pictures throughout our Days (and Nights!).

For all of the problems modern technology and its ease can create sometimes, it's also a wonderful tool!  Almost no-one uses a standard camera with film anymore (watch us get flamed now!), and sometimes it's just not feasible (or desirable) to carry around a DSLR with you all over The Parks if you don't have to.  Enter the cell phone!

Many times in the past we've used pictures for our "Almost" Wordless Wednesday that were taken exclusively with Chad (or Mark's!) DROID, and this week is one of those weeks.  We like the way they turned out, and agree with us or not, there's an "old-time" simplicity to them that newer cameras just can't match!

We took this week's shots last week, actually, on the last official day of Holidays at The Disneyland Resort, on January 8th.  One last evening out to enjoy the seasonal festivities, and these are just some of our favorites from that night.

Muppet*Vision 3D - That's Where We Were!

Each and every Monday we write a post, we like to play a little game.  We challenge our readers to guess "Where Are We?" based on a random picture taken somewhere at the Disneyland Resort.  We thrive on challenging, so the pictures can be anywhere at The Resort: Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, or Downtown Disney and the hotels.

Yesterday we offered up one of our favorites in recent weeks.  We stumbled across it while strolling around The Parks this past weekend, and thought it would make a pretty good challenge, as well as maybe producing a good chuckle.  We did have several guesses on our picture yesterday, and a few correct guesses at that.

This week's photo challenge spot can be found inside Disney California Adventure Park, in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot, at the entrance (on the right as you go in) to the Muppet*Vision 3D attraction:

We've always enjoyed Muppet*Vision 3D very much as just an attraction, but no doubt one of the big draws is that there is just so much to see in the pre-show as well.  The lobby where you wait to enter the theater itself is just full of Muppet goodies (including a pre-movie show), and even the entrance into the lobby is full of goodies as well!  This particular sign sits at the window of a "security station" just inside the entrance where you get your 3D glasses.  We've seen the booth before, but never paid close attention to it, but for whatever reason this weekend we did.  And the rest is history!

Where at the Disneyland Resort Are We? - Magical Mystery Mondays

Well, the Christmas holiday break is officially over now!  The kiddies are back in school and hitting the old grind today, which means that our break is over too and the old grind is back as well.  Although, for us, writing for a Disneyland blog isn't a grind at all!  It's tons of fun and we try to bring that in everything we write.  We hope that we're at least semi-successful!  But now that the regular routine is slowly but surely returning, we're coming back from our own little "winter break" and getting back to what we enjoy doing so much; sharing our Days at Disneyland with you!  The last couple of weeks have been good to us, and we've enjoyed our family time a whole lot, but we've missed writing on a regular basis and we're glad to get back to it.

It's Monday which means that we get to start out on a fun note and challenge you, our readers, to once again guess where at the Disneyland Resort we took this week's photo.  We were strolling around The Parks yesterday afternoon (there's your first hint, we said Parks) when we came across this one and thought it was pretty amusing, so we're sharing it here with you guys today.

If you're not familiar with our "Magical Mystery Mondays" concept yet, each and every week we come across loads of spots around Disneyland Resort we think would make great picture opportunities, and each and every week we challenge you, our readers, to attempt to guess just where at The Resort we were when we took our pictures.  Some are easy, some are hard, but we think it's a great way for us to get you involved and commenting on our blog, and people seem to enjoy doing it.  We hope that this week's stacks up and that you guys all enjoy it!  It has just enough hint in it (we think) to help you get it if you don't automatically know where it is.
