A Little (Disney) Joy Goes A Long Way

It's a Thursday so today we're blog hopping with Lisa from the Babes in Disneyland blog.  Today's topic is about Disney joy and some of our most joyful Park moments.  Talk about a wide open canopy!

Merriam-Webster defines joy as (among other things): A State of Happiness.  This is something we can really get behind!  For us, The Parks are full of joy.  Unfortunately, it can be a bit difficult to pin down particular moments of joy because there are so many of them!  But one of the greatest things about said joy is that it works in two different ways:

First, you feel joy while you're in the moment, as is evidenced by the Days In The Park kids.

Waiting for "A Christmas Fantasy" Parade - 2010

And second, you can feel joy well after the fact, as this picture of us with the Seven Dwarfs is still one of our favorite pictures ever and is still something we're talking about months later.

Days In The Park & The Seven Dwarfs - Character Fan Days - 2011

What about you? What are some of your favorite "moments of joy" inside The Parks? Care to share? Drop us a line because we'd love to hear from you!  And remember, the next time you're in The Parks take a moment, take a picture or two, and just enjoy the joy.  And while you're at it, take a few minutes to go back right now and look at some of your pictures from the past; we can almost guarantee that there's some joy in there just waiting to be rediscovered all over again.

love that 1st picture! What a great memory! Also I agree that I like to take my time in the parks and try to remember the little things that make my kiddos or me smile!

So much joy there...all the time:). I'm pretty sure I'm a "joyaholic" ...lol..keeps me coming back. My favorite moment is always the first steps down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. Wait? I meant skips ands sometimes even leaps:)

Thanks BookGirl :)

That was taken during a special "Character Fan Days" weekend earlier this year where a lot of the rare characters were out in costume again for pictures. We took full advantage of it - it's one of our favorites and probably will be till the end of time ;)

Thanks Diane :)

Meeting Mickey IS a good one and we have several of them as well. For some reason THAT one of the boys just stuck out to me - it's one of my (and my wife's) favorites :)

Indeed I do! :)

I could just use it over and over again :) Still people that I'm sure haven't seen it so I figured what the heck ;)

That's awesome Mommy MouseEars :)

The world needs more "joyaholics" ;) And I completely understand about the skips and leaps. Maybe one of these evening I'll have to skip my way down Main Street on the way out. I don't think we've ever done that before :) It would make for a great article ;)

True, so true. The older I get, the more I understand the value in "smelling the roses"... (or in this case, the popcorn!)

Totally agree, Beth! You can just see it in people's faces, and especially kids. That's why it's so important to us that we act like kids - gotta let that child-like joy in as often as you can :)

We love the popcorn! AND the roses ;)

Those photos are just awesome!! Great moments! :D I agree ... when you try to pin point particular moments of joy there's so many to choose from! I think one of my favorite is watching Disney fireworks ... I always get caught gawping at the sky by whoever is with me! lol!

Thank you Manda :)

Fireworks are ALWAYS good for some "moments of joy" and we have many shots of those as well :)
