Performer Highlights: DJ Wendy Walker!

There's really no use in pretending that it's not so...

... one of the perks of being Days in the Park, and being able to be an Annual Passholder and be inside the Disneyland Resort so much, is that we're able to befriend and become fairly close with many of the absolutely fantastic performers that Disney hires for their different roles and attractions/shows all over The Parks.

While we do our best to help them not "blow their cover" so to speak in most cases and most attractions, there are some that we're able to help out because for them, they're hired in to do a job by Disneyland and become quite popular and well-known to a lot of different people who spend their days and nights there.

One such person is the absolutely fabulous DJ Wendy Walker! I was fortunate enough to meet Wendy a couple of years ago (has it been that long?!) when she started following me on Twitter around the time I first became a Mad T Party-hound, and we've been fast friends ever since. To this day, if you hear LL Cool J pop up in one her mixes (probably "Mama Said Knock You Out"), it was at my behest!

And if you check out her website (just check out that little linky up there on her name) you'll see she does it all! Private events, weddings, Grad Nites at Disneyland, Downtown Disney Main Stage, product openings at the various stores around the Downtown Disney District, and yes, she's one of our fabulous White Rabbit DJs for the Mad T Party at California Adventure Park. With a blend of music from all over the place era and genre-wise, and something that I've proclaimed, musically, is "just plain fun", Wendy is one of our favorite people to hang out near, listen to, and she's super sweet to everyone and all of her fans too; always willing to take a picture and drop a kind word with.

Now that I've built it up to a crescendo, she's been kind enough to allow me to post her schedule here; at least what she has through the beginning of  September at this point. I will be checking on it periodically and posting an update here, so if you haven't already bookmarked her site, and are coming here for some information, feel free to keep tabs and you'll know when I know of any changes. And please, if you're going to be inside The Parks any of these days, and just looking for some good music to shuffle or shake your head to, be sure and check Wendy out, and let her know we sent you!
