One of the things I will almost always invariably hear while standing in line at the security gates to get into either Disneyland Park or California Adventure Park are the words, "Dang it! *insert name of popular attraction here* is closed?! Why did it have to be closed on our vacation?" You've probably heard the same before.
Now, we completely understand this sentiment. Even being Annual Passholders who are able to go to Disneyland pretty much whenever we want doesn't make us immune, and there have been times when I've had a hankering to ride one attraction, just one, and gone to Disneyland to find said attraction closed and under refurbishment. Cue "dang it" comment from yours truly. I can't even imagine what it's like to plan an entire vacation at Disneyland, and be looking forward to one particular thing for perhaps months and months, only to arrive and find it closed. Knowing me, I'd say much worse than "dang it".
But! All of that said, and disappointment aside, we're also logical enough to know that refurbishments (also known as repairs and cosmetic enhancements) are a necessity, especially at The Park that, let's be honest here, sets the standard for all of the others. Without refurbishments, how else is Disneyland supposed to keep all of our favorite attractions so fresh and clean-smelling? Well, maybe not Pirates of the Caribbean, but that's what makes it, well, Pirates!
With all of that, we do have a list of current refurbishments taking place between now and the end of September from all around the Disneyland Resort. While we don't expect you to plan your vacation around these (please dont!), it's still good information for you, and us, to know and I'm sure everyone can make good use of it. It's true that while some of these mean you won't be able to make magic there perhaps, but that just means there's that much more magic to be found everywhere else.
Get out there and find it!
