Welcome to those of you joining me from "Meet the Magic" and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.
As someone who has battled the paranormal, one Yeti lovingly nicknamed "Harold" by those in the know, on more than one occasion, I've certainly had my share of close scrapes and developed a capacity to scream my lungs out with the best of them.
So when the opportunity came to the Blogorail to discuss the top attraction, if given the chance, we would transfer from one Disney Park to our favorite Disney Park, in my case Disneyland, it really wasn't much of a stretch to jump to the attraction I'm most excited about one day riding when I get my own turn at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest!
Disneyland's Matterhorn
It's pretty easy to tell why this one would be at the top of my list. After all, the comparisons between it and another of my favorite Yeti-battling attractions would be pretty clear to anyone who could see the two side by side. And lucky for you, I've gone ahead and pretty much done that here. Can you see it?!
Walt Disney World's Expedition Everest
Spooky, ain't it?
Being the self-proclaimed "thrill ride" nut that I am, the idea of an attraction with an amazing queue and track itself (Asian monastery and yeti museum, anyone?), as well as one irritated yeti (who wouldn't be with a great thundering mine ride blowing through your home), sounds like the perfect attraction to me! And what's this? It runs backwards as well? Where do I sign up?! It seems like just the right kind of attraction for me, and I actually think it would work pretty well inside Disneyland Park given the right opportunity and framework. Although I would never go so far as to say "take my Matterhorn and give me Everest", if human beings ever develop the power of teleportation, and they can swap them out for a day, doggone it, I might just say yeti! I mean, yes!! It's definitely something that I cannot wait to ride one day, and stands at the top of my list of Disney attractions that I have yet to ride, and there's little doubt that once I hit the gates at Animal Kingdom some day, I will head straight for this one without hesitation.
In the meantime, since we're talking about battling yetis, here's a quick snippet of us doing battle with our own one evening before the Matterhorn went down for refurbishments. I guess it will have to tide us over until we can meet the east coast version, whom we hear can be quite a bit nastier.

We WDW people just take Animal Kingdom for granted. Thanks for reminding us all the other parks don't have everything WDW does.
I hope the Yeti works on your version!
Well, I will say that our Yeti doesn't work.. but it's still a great attraction!
I hope you get to ride Everest one day! It's super!
You're welcome Donna :)

STILL a great attraction, Jennifer :)
