Not a lot going on this week, and we've finally broken our streak of going multiple times/week, at least for the time being.
We were able to find a little bit of time on Friday evening to make one of our world-class "Banzai Runs" into The Park, but we spent all day long at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday, and felt that our typical Sunday in The Park should be spent with our respective families.
Next weekend, however, is huge for us. We won't say much more right now, but mark it down, there's a very big trip for us into The Park in our near future. Be sure and stay tuned!
Last Week on Days In The Park:
On Monday we took you on another Vinylmation Adventure with some Muppets and a recurring "back problem"
Tuesday, we took you along with us on Mickey's Fun Wheel as Chad conquered his fear of this "Wheel o' Death"
For our "Almost" Wordless Wednesday, we looked at a very special little boy and his conscience
We added another KILT (Karacters I Love Thursday) character as we hung with The Country Bears on Thursday
Friday, Chad rode the rails on The Magical Blogorail and gave his opinion on some of the changes currently taking place at Disney California Adventure
And finally on Saturday Amy gave you a peek at another one of her "Favorite Things"; the Cinnamon Tea Latte
At the Resort:
As we've noted for the last few weeks, on weekends between January 14 and March 6, The Park has been/is hosting what it has dubbed "Family Fun Weekends"; five new and unique experiences meant to draw families into The Park. This weekend was the second weekend of "Happy Lunar New Year Festival" at The Park, which has featured (much like previous weeks) shows, art, crafts, and food (tea!) merchandise. Plus, there have been plenty of awesome photo opportunities with many of your favorite Park characters and the Mulan characters, Mulan and Mushu. For the next three weekends, The Park will move into the final "Weekends" it has planned with "Mardi Gras" which will be in New Orleans Square from 10am to 5pm, Fridays through Sundays. For more information on this and future weekends, check out the Disney Parks Blog.
Here At Days In The Park:
There's still quite a bit of catching up to do around here! We still haven't gotten around to writing about our Tweet-Up a few of weeks ago, but it's coming this week. We promise! Okay, we know we promised last week too, but you believe us this week, right?
We'll have our review of "Happy Lunar New Year Festival" up and ready to go, as well as another "Amy's Favorite", and we'll wrap up our foray into the Disney Animation Building for our "Saturday Slow-Down".
And, of course, there's always "Almost" Wordless Wednesdays and KILT to look forward to.
