Days in the Park Week in Review (12/12 - 12/17)

We feel like we had a pretty productive week here at Days in the Park!  Take a look at what we had going on this week!

On Monday and Tuesday, we challenged you with our weekly "Magical Mystery Mondays" to guess where in The Parks we were when we took a particular picture.  This week's featured a very special "little" lady from the Paradise Pier area of Disney California Adventure Park.  We have a lot of fun with these every week, so make sure you stop by each and every Monday to participate with us.  Guess correctly, and you'll find your name posted on our blog come Tuesday morning!

In this week's "Almost" Wordless Wednesday, we took a stroll around The Park recently and shared some of our favorite pictures from the trip, both from the Holidays at Disneyland and not

And finally on Friday, we reviewed one of our favorite books about Disneyland, Steven M. Barrett's Disneyland's Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Disneyland Resort's Best Kept Secrets - 3rd Ed.  We love the entire Hidden Mickey phenomenon that takes place at all of the Disney properties, and consider ourselves avid Hidden Mickey hunters, so it was an honor to be asked to review it.  Come on by and find out what we thought about this "little yellow treasure" and see what the Hidden Mickey phenomenon is all about for yourselves!

Although we didn't post every day this week (we're discovering more and more as we go on that if we can't, we need to just let it go), we were very busy behind the scenes working on some pretty darn cool things for our readers, some of which will rear their heads at you this very week!  Our Magical Mystery Mondays continue to do well, and we continue to have lots of people stop by to take a look and guess at our spots.  Guess we need to find more spots.  Wednesday are always a lot of fun for as well, as we get to share with you from the plethora (do you know what a plethora is?) of pictures we take every time we go into Disneyland.  This week's was great because we had some of the kidlets along, and they got to help us choose as well!  Everyone loves a good pictures!  And Friday's book review, a first on this blog, was a lot of fun to do.  If you haven't read it yet, go check it out!  We love Hidden Mickeys (you'll hear more about that this week!) so it was an honor to be asked to do it.  Great fun!

Good things coming this week!  Like we said, we have more coming about our love of Hidden Mickeys, so be sure to hang around and check that out.  There might even be a surprise (or two!) inside.  Hint Hint.  We're also working hard on our ParkCast (podcast) and have a new episode we'll be dropping this week, as well as sitting down to record our very special Christmas episode, where we'll deal with all things Disneyland during the Holiday season.  We have lots of guests lined up and some cool things coming, so we hope that you'll stay tuned for that!  If you haven't taken the time to start listenign to us yet we'd love to have you give us a try!  You can listen to, or download, our show on our "Parkcast" website: http://www.daysintheparkcast.com, or you can subscribe to our show and listen to us in iTunes.  Give us a listen and let us know what you think!

It's Christmas week!  Which means busy, busy, busy!  We might not be able to post as much as we'd like over the next couple of weeks due to family and church obligations, but we hope that what we do post will be a lot of fun for our readers, and will keep you coming back for more!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  It's going to be a great week, so come on back.  We love having you around!

Days in the Park Week in Review (9/12 - 9/17)

We had a great week this week at Days in the Park.  We kept busy and had something new almost every day, which is always a good week for us!  And we double-posted a couple of times, so if you add them all up, we've already posted into next week!  Time for a recap!

On Monday, we challenged you with our weekly "Magical Mystery Mondays" to guess where in The Parks we were when we took a particular picture.  This week's came courtesy of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot in Disney California Adventure Park.  We have a lot of fun with these every week, so make sure you stop by each and every Monday to participate with us.  Guess correctly, and you'll find your name posted on our blog come Tuesday morning!

Tuesday,we announced the winner in our first ever "Thank You" giveaway on our blog, as our reader Jeremy (Twitter @3DisKids) took home a great Disney prize-pack full of some awesome goodies

In this week's "Almost" Wordless Wednesday, we shared some random pictures from one of our last trips of the summer into the Disneyland Resort, and Mark met one of the most feared men in the galaxy which we just had to share

It was a Disney Flashback on Friday, as Halloween Time 2011 at Disneyland began with a look back at Halloween Time at Disneyland from 2010

And finally on Saturday, we celebrated our first "blogoversary" here at Days in the Park with a special "Thank You" from all of our writers

We didn't mention it up top, but we also finally managed to record and get out Episode 8 of our "Days in the Parkcast" podcast!  We've been on kind of a break with that while we looked at our show and tried to work on some new segments, and we're pleased with the direction and how it went!  We think it will better reflect our blog now, albeit it in audio format.  And we're super stoked to finally have Amy on board and recording with us as she's transplanted her "Amy's Favorite Things" segments from here to the podcast.  If you haven't already, but you enjoy reading our blog, give our show a listen!  You can listen to, or download, our show on our "Parkcast" website: http://www.daysintheparkcast.com, or you can subscribe to our show and listen to us in iTunes.  Give us a listen and let us know what you think!

And Halloween Time 2011 has officially begun at Disneyland!  We were in The Park last night to say that we officially rode both Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday, but that was really all we did.  We're looking forward to going back out many more times in the next month and a half, and will be sharing lots of information, and more importantly pictures, from our Halloween "days in the park" with you, our readers.  It should be a great season!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  It's going to be a great week, so come on back.  We love having you around!
