Before we get into our new segment here, allow us to let you in on a little known secret in the blogging world. The articles you see here, and on other blogs, don't write themselves.
I'll pause to give you time to pick yourself up off of the ground.
In actuality a lot of work goes into these things! Ideas have to be brought to fruition and hashed out, articles are written and edited (and then edited some more), and pictures have to be chosen and toyed with as well. It's actually very time consuming. We only say all of that because even we have been taken aback a bit by just how much time is involved. No doubt a result of supreme naivete on our part.
We really do need to take at least one day a week just to work on things, and Thursday seemed as good a day as any. We can assure you, the fact that we had nothing in the bank to publish today had absolutely nothing to do with our choice.
Enter a new portion of the website we've been wanting to implement anyway; A Collected Character segment. When we first started talking about creating our own website we talked a lot about having a page dedicated to characters we've managed to "collect" in The Parks. We did so not knowing how many other sites already did that, but knowing that now, we figure that since we enjoy seeing others meeting the characters so much that shouldn't be a deterrent at all.
Hence, our first KILT(!) is born. Why KILT? We know that a lot of people do 'TILT' ("Things I Love Thursday") posts so we figured maybe we could do something similar and call ours "Karacters I Love Thursday", primarily because "CILT" and "CHILT" are not words; at least not that we know of. If you can suspend reality and pretend the "K" is a "C" (they do have the same sound after all), then we should have no problems here. For the good of all of us try not to be obstinate and get all hung up on that.
So today is our first (of many) KILT posts! We plan on adding a picture every Thursday for the foreseeable future, and each week we'll add a new character to our "Collected Characters" page at the top of our site. Easy enough, right?
For our first character we went with a classic. In this particular photo, we find Michael grappling with Donald. If memory serves, this is right before Michael turned around and punched Donald in his beak, prompting a Cast Member to step in and separate the two. Oh, the shenanigans!
Be sure and tune back in next Thursday for a brand new episode of KILT. You never know who we'll collect next!

We have never seen Donald out and about in the parks, but we were very happy when he became a permanent member at Cape Maye Cafe's character breakfast (our favorite character meal). I look forward to seeing next week's episode of KILT!
Thanks, Beth! We look forward to lots of pictures to post, and spending the next year nabbing as many of them, photographically speaking of course, as we can. :)
