Pardon Our Laziness, But We Can Explain!

The last couple of weeks around here have been crazy!

It's been really depressing to think we've been so lazy with our writing.  We've made some posts and got some things out (mostly pictures) but we like to do our best to compliment picture posts with some "meat", so to speak; something of substance.  We've just been too wrung out to do it.

The "spiral" started two weeks ago when Chad's wife left to go to Orlando for four days.  Don't know if you've ever tried writing daily while trying to maintain a household comprised of three little boys or not, but it ain't as easy as one might think.  By the time she got back, we (Chad and the wife) were off to Las Vegas for a couple of days for a much needed vacation away from said three little boys.  It was fantastic, relaxing and just what the doctor ordered.   We figured when we got back and through Thanksgiving that with our new, refreshed mindset we'd be set to go!  But the doctor had other plans.  Chad got sick on Thursday night (darn flu bug) and someone in Days In The Park has been sick almost every day since (save one Night In The Park which we'll be writing about later).

Suffice to say, it's been ridiculously hard trying to get back into the groove of things.  But we're sure going to try.  We have lots of things that we want to write about it, and some of them might even be interesting!  We plan on doing a lot of writing today, actually.

Meantime, if you're here, you're probably noticing a new look to our website.  As we've noted here before, the holidays (Christmas to us) is our favorite time of the year.   And we figured with that being the case, since we enjoy decorating our homes, and this is our home on the web, it deserved to be decorated too!

We hope you guys will like seeing it this way for the next month or so.  Let us know what you think!

Bust away! :)

And thanks. We're listening, too, but we haven't really heard ourselves yet. Kind of afraid to. LOL! But thanks.

You changed your theme.. you can't call yourself lazy! I've been enjoying your website and all the photos you've been posting, keep up the good work.

Hehe! Thanks much, Jason. The layout/theme change was easy, though. I still think we've been a tad lazy with our posting, but I think we're in a good place.

Glad you've been enjoying it. Keep coming back! :)
