Odds and Ends: Weekly Cap-Off (11/29 - 12/5)

Visits to The Park this week:  1

We feel like the last couple of weeks we've been able to just say the same thing here.  We've been sick, we haven't been able to write much, and so on and so forth.

The great news is, though, that we think we've finally got this stuff licked!  We're all feeling much better overall, and there's a definite feel of Christmas in the air that just seems to make things that much better.

We may not have been able to do much, but we do like what we managed to do.  We absolutely love New Orleans Square this time of year, and we were able to show you that.  And in a move that should make up for almost any other mistakes around here, we gave what might one day go down in the annals of podcasting as one of the greatest interviews ever to 'Tales From The Mouse House'.  Well, that might be overselling it a bit.  But we did have a great time, and we can't wait to do it again.

Last Week on Days In The Park:
On Monday, we gave you a look at another section of the Park all decked out for the Holidays:  New Orleans Square.

For our "Almost" Wordless Wednesday, in honor of the impending TRON: Legacy release, we gave you a look at the TRON Light Cycle currently residing in Disney California Adventure

Friday, we did our best to give you a good reason as to why we've been so behind on our posting lately

And finally on Saturday we gave you the first ever Days In The Park podcast participation with our friends Al & Joyce over at 'Tales From The Mouse House'

At The Resort:
Christmas is in full swing at The Parks.  In fact, today we're (Chad, Mark, Michael and Nicholas) at The Park celebrating Christmas by seeing the annual Candlelight Processional with our friend Amy.

It's an annual event on Main Street featuring a celebrity reciting the biblical Christmas story, backed up by a choir and instrumentation playing many of our favorite Christmas carols.  It's an absolutely gorgeous ceremony!  It takes place twice a day (Saturday and Sunday), at 5:30pm and again at 8pm, and we'll be attending the 5:30 showing.  We can't wait to do a write-up on it.  Maybe we can coerce Amy into coming back and doing another post for us.

The show can be seen from anywhere around the Main Street Station area (VIP seating is directly in front, but you can stand and watch from anywhere around) and it can be heard from as far down as Sleeping Beauty Castle.  If you've never seen this before, it is a must-see, and we're certainly going to enjoy it to the utmost!  Just gotta hope we get some good seats for the show!

Here at Days In The Park:
As astounding as it may seem (given our recent woes with posting on a regular basis) we actually have a lot to talk about this month.  In fact, unless something goes horribly awry, we have posts ready to roll from now until right around Christmas Eve.

We don't want to give too much away, but this week we're going to be doing some more Holiday pictures (always popular), taking a look at some more Park music, enjoying fond memories of a "tweet-up" we recently had at The Park, and on Friday we'll be hopping back on board the Magical Blogorail for our second post there.  If you haven't read the first, check it out so you can see what we're all about.

At the end of the week, several of us will be participating in the Holiday Tour at Disneyland Park, and we can't wait to write about that for you guys.  If you'll remember, we wrote about our trip on the Happiest Haunts Tour back in October, and we're pretty excited about this one, too.  Two tours in one year?  Who'd'a thunk it?

Until next week, keep spinning like a teacup...
