It's Friday, and you know what that means! Well, neither did we until one of our Disney besties Sarah over at "Magical Days With The Mouse" informed us that she was going to be beginning a new "blog hop" herself for Fridays: 'Disney Flashback Friday'. And really, what kind of blogging pals would we be if we didn't participate and show her some love in her new endeavor? Everyone loves a good picture, right? And we've got tons of them. Her rules for participating are really quite simple, so check them out:
- Post a photo(s) with a short story related to Disney, then visit her each Friday and link up
- Visit as many of the other flashbacks as you can and if you can, leave comments and let us all know you've come over. We all love comments so the more the merrier!
- Please help spread the word of this new link up and share it with your followers. The bigger the party, the more fun we'll all have flashing! Well, flashing back, that is.
So, that said, here we go with the Days In The Park "Flashback"!
The truth is, the three of us here at "Days" haven't really known each other (at least, not as three) for very long at all. Chad and Mark have known each other for years, but Amy is a relatively new addition to the flock. We only just met each other through Twitter near the end of 2010, but in that small amount of time we've grown to be very good friends and enjoy hanging out together in The Parks and writing about our shenanigans as often as we can.
We all agree though, one of our favorite memories together happened in January of this year during "Character Fan Days" at The Resort. It's been one of the best times we've had since we started hanging out together and for good reason! The Parks, in their sheer genius, decided to begin hosting themed weekends during January and into March this year. They were all over the place with such names as "Kickin Country Weekend" and "Happy Lunar New Year Festival", but our favorite was hands-down "Character Fan Days", and the reason was quite simple. Everyone loves a good character photo, and on this particular weekend, The Park was pulling out all the stops and letting us take our pictures with many characters who were "out of print", so to speak, and no longer roamed around. The chance to take our pictures with rare characters? Sign us up! And what's even better was they allowed us as fans to vote on who we wanted. And we got some good ones! We all dropped whatever we were doing on the Saturday afternoon of that weekend, drove separately to The Park, and spent a few hours just standing in line to take pictures. One of the best times we've ever had!
So, in honor of a new hop for one of our favorite people, we're bringing out some of the best we have! All of these pictures appeared on the blog earlier in the year, but quite a bit of time has passed since then and we figure what better time to bring them back to the front and relive the memory and the good times. Hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them!
Frollo, Esmerelda and Clopin
The Seven Dwarfs
Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow

You guys rule! You sure know how to make a girl feel special. I appreciate you participating.
Man I loved Character Fan Days! I hope they decide to bring it back. My only regret is not getting a 7 Dwarfs photo myself. Seriously what was I thinking?! ;) I think I was too obsessed with getting a Clopin picture. Haha.

You are most certainly welcome Sarah. We're always happy to help and support in whatever way that we can.
Us too! And we have no idea WHAT you were thinking ;)
