Odds and Ends: Weekly Cap-Off (11/1-11/7)

Visits to The Park this week:  1

It's been a busy week around here!  We feel like we've been playing catch up almost every day!  Instead of posting ahead, we've been posting from behind, which is a little frustrating.  But unless we're wrong, we managed to get something new out almost each and every day.  So we'll just consider that a success!

And we had some pretty awesome posts this week, if we do say so ourselves.  We'd be remiss if we didn't thank Lynnette again (Twitter @Lynnet_te) for guest-posting on our blog this week.  Her inside view of the Villains' Victory Party was just fantastic, and we're grateful for her willingness to do that.  If you haven't read it yet, please click the link below and check it out!

Last Week on Days In The Park:
On Monday, we screwed up, got behind and gave you the Weekly recap we should have done on Sunday (no need to relive our shame by providing you with a link)

Tuesday, our friend Lynnette took us along for an inside look at Halloween Time's end of season event, the Villains' Victory Party at Disneyland Park

For our "Almost" Wordless Wednesday, we gave you an interesting look at one of our favorite renditions of Ariel (The Little Mermaid) in The Park

We gave you the goods on one of our favorite Park moments, and a record set, on Splash Mountain on Thursday

On Friday we gave you another FastPass "lesson" in leaving some for later (as Annual Passholders) while you're spending your time in The Parks

And on Saturday, we took you along with us for Round 2 of our Vinylmation Adventures

At The Resort:
The Christmas overlay of The Park is now in full swing!  In fact, we heard yesterday (and are finding out now if it's true) that there's a big Christmas Parade filming going on, and there should be lots of celebs in attendance.  Guess we'll try to report back on that this week.

On top of that, today is Harry Potter Day at The Park.  Good luck to all of you Horcrux hunters out there.  We know that Gryffindor is the popular choice of House, but we'd rather be Hufflepuffs any old day of the week.  Have fun, Potter-heads.

And if you're reading this, be sure to check back around 9PM PST tonight as we try to break that Splash Mountain record of ours we talked about earlier in the week.  We hope to be blogging about it on ride!  A true red-letter day in the history of Days In The Park, to be sure.  Although, knowing my luck, I'll no doubt drop my DROID in the river.

Meantime, November 12th is the day when the Holiday festivities officially begin.  Make sure you check it out if you can.  It's our favorite time of the year!

Here at Days In The Park:
It should be a great week around here.  We have plenty of ideas so the posts should be plentiful.  And seeing as how we're at The Park today, there should be a lot of new pictures of the Christmas/Holiday decor that we can give to you guys, should you be interested.

Especially cool for us this week, is a collaboration we are participating in with several other Disney blogs called the "Magical Blogorail".  Being the only "Lander" among "Worlders" on the loop should provide some pretty interesting perspective on all things Disney.  We're excited to be participating in it, so be sure to check back on Friday to be there when it all begins.

Meantime, Dole Whips in the air, and eat 'em like you just don't care how many calories they have.
