Odds and Ends: Weekly Cap-Off (10/25-10/31)

Visits to The Park this week:  0

While writing this weekly recap, we admit to two things:
  • We did not spend a single day in The Park this week (Halloween and other real-life events and commitments ran interference here)
  • This weekly recap is coming a day later than usual (see aforementioned excuse)
But in the interest of pretending we have some continuity in our blog, we're going ahead and doing one anyway.

We're still doing a good enough job around here (we think) to continue on for at least another week.  We keep drawing in a few new readers here and there and our numbers on a daily basis mean someone is reading us, and linking to us, and we're very happy to see that!  And what's best for us, is that we keep having the opportunity to meet some of you out at The Park, which is huge for us!  Hopefully, that trend will do nothing but continue.  Believe us, we'd love nothing more than to know that on any given day, when we go out there, someone will be there for us to hang out with.  We're meeting some awesome new people doing this, and we're really grateful for you guys.

Last Week on Days In The Park:
On Monday we gave you a belated introduction to just who it is that's behind the Days In The park website

Tuesday we revisited Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland one final time for some last-minute Jack o' Lantern photos

For our "Almost" Wordless Wednesday we gave you a unique look at the Disneyland Park Petting Zoo's daily 'Running of the Goats!'

We gave you photos and a nifty little write up on Disney California Adventure's 'ElecTRONica' on Thursday

On Friday we tried to give you a brief "lesson" in pacing yourself (as Annual Passholders) while you're spending your time in The Parks

And on Saturday, we gave you a look at one of our Nights In The Park, and one of its best sights, Sleeping Beauty Castle

At The Resort:
Well, Halloween Time is over, which means that the Holiday season will kick into overdrive soon as the annual Holiday/Christmas decorations begin to go up all over The Park.  Snow has already appeared on Sleeping Beauty Castle while wreaths, bulbs and other typical decor have begun to appear all over The Parks and in Downtown Disney.  And that ride of rides, It's A Small World is currently closed for refurbishment and it's annual Holiday overlay.

November 12th is the day when the Holiday festivities officially begin.  Make sure you check it out if you can.  It's our favorite time of the year!

Here at Days In The Park:
We still have lots of ideas and thoughts percolating in our heads.  And some exciting things are coming up.  Maybe even some guest writers and collaborations with other blogs and websites!  We can't wait to get it out for you guys.  We hope you'll keep coming back to see it.
